In the midst of busy everyday life, it can be easy to move from one thing to the next without taking a moment to simply pause. Wellbeing, sound and Reiki offer an opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply and reconnect with yourself.

These sessions are held as gentle spaces for rest, relaxation and presence — a chance to step away from the outside world for a little while and turn your attention inward.

Sound

Sound bowls, sometimes known as singing bowls, are the primary instruments used throughout my sound sessions. Through their rich, resonant tones and vibrations, they create an immersive sound experience that invites the mind to settle and the body to soften.

Many people enjoy spending time with sound as a way to create a sense of calm, slow busy thoughts and make space for reflection. Whether you are seeking a moment of peace, time to recharge, or simply an opportunity to slow down, sound offers a beautiful way to be still and present.

There is no particular way you need to experience the sound. You are simply invited to listen, notice and allow yourself to be wherever you are in that moment.

Reiki

I am currently practising Reiki at Shoden (Level 1), the first level of Reiki training.

At this stage of my Reiki journey, I am offering Reiki sessions to family and friends as I continue to practise and develop my skills. Reiki is not currently available as a public offering.

Reiki is a gentle Japanese practice traditionally offered through light touch or with the hands held just above the body. Sessions can provide a peaceful opportunity to slow down, rest and reconnect with yourself.

For me, Reiki is not about fixing or changing you, or telling you what you should experience. It is about creating a safe, peaceful space where you can simply be — allowing yourself time to pause, listen to your body and receive whatever the experience may bring.

I am approaching my Reiki practice with curiosity, respect and a commitment to continuing to learn. As my training progresses, I will continue to grow my practice in a considered and respectful way.

A space to pause

Whether through the resonance of sound, the stillness of Reiki, or a combination of both, these experiences are an invitation to step out of the busyness of everyday life.

To pause.
To breathe.
To rest.
To receive.

There is nothing you need to achieve here. Just space to be with yourself for a while.

Wellbeing, Sound  and Reiki

Potential Benefits

Many people are drawn to sound and Reiki as an opportunity to create space for rest, relaxation and self-care. The soothing tones and vibrations of sound bowls, or the quiet stillness of Reiki, can create an environment where you can slow down, settle a busy mind and simply be present.

For those with an established mindfulness or meditation practice, sound can provide a gentle focal point that supports relaxation and presence. For others, it offers an accessible way to experience stillness without needing any previous meditation experience. Reiki can offer a similar opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and allow yourself time to rest and receive.

People may experience a session in many different ways. Some describe feeling more grounded, centred or connected, while others simply appreciate having uninterrupted time to pause and be with themselves.

While everyone's experience is unique, sound and Reiki may support a greater sense of calm and wellbeing, providing an opportunity to release some of the stresses of everyday life and reconnect with yourself in a peaceful and nurturing environment.

There is no particular outcome you need to achieve. You are invited to arrive as you are, allow yourself to slow down, and notice what the experience brings for you.

Sound Bowl Considerations:

Your comfort and wellbeing are important to us. Please consider the following before booking a session:

• Sound healing may not be suitable for individuals with a history of seizures, epilepsy, or certain neurological conditions. If this applies to you, please seek medical advice before attending.

• If you are currently experiencing significant mental health challenges or are under the care of a mental health professional, we recommend discussing participation with your healthcare provider to ensure sound healing is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

• If you are pregnant, have a pacemaker, or have any other medical concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before attending a session.

• If you have experienced sound sensitivity, trauma, or any condition that may impact your comfort during a session, please let us know before booking so we can discuss whether the experience is right for you.

Sound healing is intended to support relaxation and wellbeing and is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any concerns about your health, please seek guidance from a qualified healthcare professional.
